About Me
As a journalist, my responsibility is to give voice to stories that might otherwise remain unheard. Journalism often places us in possession of knowledge others don’t have, and I see it as our duty to ensure that people are informed, aware, and empowered. Speaking truth to power is central to this mission: holding the powerful accountable while amplifying the voices of those who need to be heard most. Words can shape perspectives, spark dialogue, and inspire change—and that is something I deeply value.
Beyond uncovering facts, I believe journalism is about understanding the human narratives that live behind them. These stories are what resonate, what move people, and what help us make sense of a world often marked by conflict and uncertainty. I strive to build stories with clarity and purpose—stories that matter and stories that can make a difference.
I consider myself a people’s person, guided by the belief that everyone carries something valuable to share. Taking the time to ask, What is your meaningful contribution? fuels my curiosity and my passion for journalism. Because sharing a person’s story is not simply about conveying facts—it is about revealing a piece of humanity to the world.
I also believe that great stories don’t just happen—they happen to those who know how to tell them. Everyone deserves to have their story told with excellence. Storytelling is a craft that can be practiced and mastered. A storyteller doesn’t need to experience the extraordinary to make an impact; the art lies in uncovering meaning in the ordinary. Resonance is learned. The everyday can seem mundane—until a storyteller brings it to life. That is why I believe journalists are, above all, great storytellers. A good reporter doesn’t just stumble upon good stories; a good reporter makes good stories.
